Do You Have What It Takes?

The Opportunity

Longo Custom Builders is seeking a versatile Skilled Craftsman to support luxury custom homes, high end renovations, punch work, warranty service, and specialty field needs. This is an opportunity for someone who takes personal pride in doing work correctly, protecting the customer’s home, and solving the detailed problems that do not always fit neatly within one trade scope.

Who Will Thrive Here

You are experienced, resourceful, and comfortable working independently. You understand that craftsmanship includes more than the finished repair: it includes preparation, protection, communication, cleanliness, and leaving the area better than you found it.

What You Will Own

  • Perform high quality carpentry, trim, hardware, blocking, adjustments, repairs, installations, and other specialty construction tasks within demonstrated skill and authorization.
  • Support punch lists, closeout, warranty, occupied renovation work, and service needs with care and urgency.
  • Diagnose problems, identify likely causes, explain options, and coordinate with the Site Supervisor or Project Manager before proceeding when scope is unclear.
  • Review plans, details, work orders, and product instructions before beginning work.
  • Protect finished surfaces, furnishings, landscaping, and occupied spaces; maintain excellent dust and debris control.
  • Use tools and equipment safely, maintain an orderly work area, and follow company and project safety requirements.
  • Document work completed, materials used, photographs, unresolved items, and customer interactions.
  • Assist with material pickup, layout, temporary protection, mockups, and field verification when needed.
  • Represent Longo Custom Builders professionally in customers’ homes and around trade partners.
  • Help coach less experienced team members through safe practices, quality standards, and good work habits.

What Success Looks Like

  • Work is completed correctly, neatly, safely, and with minimal disruption.
  • Repairs address the cause of the issue, not only the visible symptom.
  • Finished areas are protected and the work area is cleaner when the task is complete.
  • The team receives accurate updates and documentation without having to chase information.
  • Customers experience professionalism, respect, and confidence in their home.
  • Versatility and sound judgment reduce delays and help the larger project team succeed.

Qualifications

  • Several years of hands on residential construction experience with demonstrated strength in carpentry, trim, punch, repair, or related finish work.
  • Ability to read basic plans, details, measurements, product instructions, and written work orders.
  • A professional set of hand tools and the knowledge to use and maintain tools safely.
  • Strong problem solving, communication, time management, cleanliness, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while knowing when to stop, ask questions, or involve a licensed trade.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel among metro Atlanta projects.
  • Trade credentials are helpful but do not replace demonstrated craftsmanship, reliability, and character.

The Qualities We Value
