Do You Have What It Takes?

The Opportunity

Longo Custom Builders is seeking a reliable, motivated Laborer to support our luxury custom home and renovation jobsites. This role is an important part of field production, not an afterthought. A clean, protected, organized site helps every trade work better and protects the quality of the home. For the right person, this can be the first step toward becoming a Skilled Craftsman, Assistant Site Supervisor, or Site Supervisor.

Who Will Thrive Here

You show up on time, pay attention, work safely, and look for the next useful thing to do. You do not need to know everything on day one, but you must be willing to learn, accept direction, take care of tools and materials, and steadily earn greater responsibility.

What You Will Own

  • Maintain clean, organized, safe jobsites, including routine sweeping, debris removal, material organization, and preparation for trades and meetings.
  • Install and maintain temporary protection for floors, walls, doors, cabinets, fixtures, landscaping, and completed work.
  • Load, unload, move, stage, count, and protect construction materials and deliveries.
  • Assist Site Supervisors, Skilled Craftsmen, and trade partners with approved tasks, basic hand tools, setup, breakdown, and cleanup.
  • Support erosion control, weather protection, temporary barriers, signage, and site security measures.
  • Help prepare the site for inspections, customer visits, photography, and project milestones.
  • Report damaged materials, unsafe conditions, missing protection, water intrusion, or other concerns immediately.
  • Use personal protective equipment and follow all company, jobsite, and equipment safety requirements.
  • Care for company tools, equipment, vehicles, and supplies.
  • Learn construction terminology, sequencing, quality expectations, and practical skills through daily work.

What Success Looks Like

  • You are consistently on time, prepared, and ready to work.
  • The site is cleaner, safer, and better organized because you were there.
  • Materials and completed work are handled and protected carefully.
  • You follow instructions, ask good questions, and communicate problems promptly.
  • You can be trusted to complete assigned work without repeated reminders.
  • Your skills, judgment, and responsibility continue to grow.

Qualifications

  • A dependable work history and a strong willingness to learn; prior construction experience is helpful but not required.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work respectfully with a team.
  • Basic comfort using hand tools or a willingness to learn safe tool use.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to jobsites throughout metro Atlanta.
  • Smartphone access for communication, timekeeping, and basic job documentation.
  • Commitment to safe work, jobsite cleanliness, punctuality, and care for customers’ property.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is helpful but not required when reliability and capability are demonstrated.
