Do You Have What It Takes?
The Opportunity
Who Will Thrive Here
You appreciate beautiful homes, but you also love the details behind them: dimensions, lead times, finish schedules, approvals, budgets, and the satisfaction of closing open decisions. You communicate warmly with customers while respectfully holding deadlines and process boundaries.
What You Will Own
- Guide customers through the selections process using organized agendas, decision schedules, vendor resources, and clear next steps.
- Maintain the master selections schedule and status, including decision deadlines, approvals, allowances, lead times, and items at risk.
- Coordinate with architects, interior designers, showrooms, vendors, estimators, Project Managers, and Site Supervisors to gather and distribute complete information.
- Document selections accurately in the project management system with specifications, model numbers, finishes, quantities, locations, pricing, attachments, and approvals.
- Confirm that selected products fit the plans, field conditions, design intent, budget, installation requirements, and project schedule before release.
- Prepare selection packages and meeting materials; record decisions, unresolved questions, responsible parties, and due dates.
- Track samples, submittals, shop drawings, finish schedules, and customer approvals.
- Identify long lead items and decision delays early, then clearly communicate the schedule and cost impact.
- Support pricing, allowance reconciliation, change documentation, procurement, and handoff of approved selections to the field.
- Conduct periodic site visits to confirm context, coordinate details, and help resolve design questions.
What Success Looks Like
- Selections are made early enough to protect procurement and construction milestones.
- The project record contains one clear, current, approved source of truth.
- The estimator and Project Manager receive complete information for pricing and purchasing.
- The Site Supervisor and trade partners can build without chasing missing design decisions.
- Customers feel guided and cared for while understanding deadlines and consequences.
- Design intent is preserved through accurate documentation and coordination.
Qualifications
- Experience in residential design coordination, interior design, architecture, construction selections, showrooms, or high end residential project support.
- Strong understanding of finishes, fixtures, cabinetry, millwork, tile, lighting, plumbing, hardware, appliances, and the way selections affect construction.
- Exceptional organization, attention to detail, written communication, meeting follow up, and deadline management.
- Ability to read residential plans and translate design information into clear records and action items.
- Comfort with project management software, spreadsheets, document management, presentation tools, and Microsoft 365.
- Ability to travel to showrooms, vendor meetings, and jobsites throughout metro Atlanta.
- A design related degree is valued, but excellent coordination, taste, technical curiosity, and proven execution are equally important.
